Crochet Beehive Tutorial – Crochet Applique Tutorial

For this pattern you will need any thickness crochet cotton or yarn, I used Scheepjes Catona cotton colours (208) Yellow Gold, (254) Moon Rock, (162) Black Coffee, (515) Emerald and (106) Snow White. A crochet hook, I used a 2.5mm hook. A darning needle to weave in ends and a pair of scissors. Thread and needle to stitch the pieces together.

The finished size will be 16.5cm wide x 20cm high (6.5” wide x 8” high) for the larger beehive, using 8 ply crochet cotton. The size of the beehive in Catona will be 11.5cm wide x 16.5cm high (4.5” wide x 6.5” high). The medium beehive will be 10cm wide x 13cm high (4” wide x 5” high) when using 4 ply crochet cotton. The small beehive will be 8cm wide x 9cm high (3” wide x 3.5” high) when using 2 ply crochet cotton.
