A student film from the Nab'Ubomi 2011 Inter-School Short Film Competition.
"Eternal Inspirations" by Pumela Sibulele Billie from Molteno Senior Secondary School in Queenstown Education District, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
About the competition: High School Learners write and pitch their story ideas as short film screenplays. The most promising scripts are selection to go into production as part of the competition. Writers of the selected screenplays get to direct their own films with a team of learners from their school fill the crew roles of producer, camera, lighting, sound, boom swinging, art department, script and continuity, and clapper board operator. The student crews receive introductory training and support from a mentor film crew as they make their film. All actors are from the school, all scenes are created on the school premises, props are sourced by the learners, scenes plotted and rehearsed by the learners, and the film is shot in a single day at the school. The School films are a mix of English, Xhosa and Afrikaans.
