In Siwa, Egypt, there is a very beautiful hotel located in a secluded location in the middle of the desert and overlooking the romantic Lake Siwa. Prince Charles and his wife visited this hotel in 2006.
All hotel walls are constructed from Siwan mud and clay. It is a mud coated salt scientifically proven to be an effective insulating building material, used for thousands of years by local builders in Siwa. So, in the scorching heat of the Egyptian desert, this hotel stays cool.
