Ingredients & Preparation Method:
✅1¾ cup fine semolina or rava
✅2 spoons of maida
( If you don’t want to use maida, you can substitute with wheat flour )
✅2 spoons of gram flour
Peel and grate 2 raw potatoes
The batter is made from fine semolina (rava), a little maida (or wheat flour), and gram flour, blended into a fine powder. Grated raw potatoes are added and blended again with curd, salt, sugar, and water to make a smooth dosa batter. After a short 5-minute rest, a pinch of cooking soda or ENO is added for fluffiness.
The process includes heating the tawa, greasing it with oil using a cotton cloth sprinkling water, and then spreading the batter while the flame is low. Once spread, increase the heat to medium and cook until crispy.
This dosa is not only delicious and unique but also perfect for busy days – quick to prepare and very satisfying!
