Amtrak, CP and Metra - Rondout & Franklin Park, IL - CP 8781 Hapag-Lloyd, Amtrak Heritage and More

Описание: The first week of June 2022 was one for the record books, I made trip out to the Chicago area to hang out with my good friend Danny who lives out there, and Matt (theatreofpain270). It was a great week to check out the sights, downtown Chicago and of course, some very solid rail action. Our first day was spent roaming the area, checking out a few of the area hotspots. We started out at Rondout, IL, where the Canadian Pacific's C&M Subdivision, which also hosts the Metra Milwaukee North District Line, intersects with the CN Leighton Subdivision at a diamond. While it was a slower morning than normal, we saw some cool stuff, including some very surprising and cool catches there, including the Canadian Pacific's Hapag-Lloyd unit leading with CSX and KCS power, Amtrak's Veterans NCPU (F40PH shell) and the Phase I heritage unit, a CP Sand Train, an intermodal and quite a few Metras. Please excuse the camera shaking here, its a bike train with plenty of traffic and the overpass here shakes quite a bit. After here, we went to Franklin Park, just outside of CP Bensenville Yard, where we caught the CP Hapag Lloyd unit once again, along with a few freight and Metra trains.
