The much awaited verdict in Mumbai blast case has come. A special Terrorist and Disruptive Activity (TADA) Court has pounced the quantum of punishment. The Special TADA Court has awarded Abu Salem and Karimullah Sheikh life imprisonment. On March 12, 1993, Mumbai witnessed serial blasts that killed over 257 innocent people and injured more than 700. The attacks were planned by Dawood Ibrahim, India’s ‘most wanted’ fugitive who also has his name prominently figuring on the ‘most wanted’ lists of the US and the Interpol. Earlier on June 16 this year the court had convicted six people, including the mastermind of the attack Mustafa Dosa and Abu Salem.
