Описание: I'd researched Nagano street food on ChatGPT in the weeks leading up to our trip, and been told about something referred to as "oyaki" that was a local comfort food. So I figured I ought to try it when we got into town – although calling it "in town" feels a little disingenuous when I was able to pick them up in the indoor complex connecting the Shinkansen station and the hotel. I've literally not been outside since stepping of the platform into the station.

Still, it was a momentary challenge to get these things ready to eat, as the store only offered them in frozen form, to be heated up upon taking them home (and our hotel room didn't have anything like that). However, there was a alcove off to the side of the front desk with washing machines and a microwave for customer use, so we managed to make that work.
