Even local law enforcement in Maine is calling out ICE and operation "Catch of the Day" for reckless, amateur tactics.
Cumberland County Sheriff Kevin Joyce described how ICE agents arrested a corrections officer recruit in Portland, pulling him from his car, handcuffing him, and speeding off while leaving the vehicle windows down, lights on, unsecured, and unoccupied on the side of the road. Joyce said plainly: “Folks, that’s bush-league policing.” He warned the public is being sold one story while “what occurred last night” tells a very different truth.
