Norma consistency and frequency of baby potty depends on three factors-
1) Age of baby
2) Baby does breastfeeding or on formula milk
3) Whether the baby has started solid food or not
Meconium (meconium kya hota hai) -After the first few days of birth, the newborn does greenish, sticky, pooty which is of tar-like texture know as meconium (meconium kya hai). The passing of meconium is a good sign that the intestines of the baby are functioning normally.
The first milk of the baby known as colostrum which acts as a laxative starts pushing meconium into the gut of the baby, and the color of the potty changes from greenish-brown to brown or mustard yellow,3 to 4 days after birth.
If the baby is on formula milk after birth the potty is of toothpaste texture and pale yellow or yellowish-brown in color (formula milk baby potty)
When baby starts taking solid (bache me solid shuru karne par potty me badlav) potty becomes firm and tight and remnants of food particles could be found in the potty.
Watery potty (bache ko patli potty aana ) -This could be a sign of diarrhea (bacho me diarrhea). Other reasons for diarrhea in children (bacho me dast ke karan) are gastroenteritis, excess intake of fruit juice, drug reaction, food allergy, the wrong composition of formula feed.
Tight /Hard potty (bacho me kabj ki samasya) - If the baby has to apply a lot of force to push the potty, very tight or hard inconsistency , baby gets irritable, blood in the potty (baccho ki potty mein khoon aana ) these are the signs of constipation (bacho ki kabz kya hota hai).
Green stools (bacho ki hari potty ana) - When the baby sucks breastmilk very fast, the baby sucks foremilk which enters an empty stomach, produce green color potty (bacho ki hari pooty ana).
Very pale potty (bacho ko white potty ) -this could be a sign of jaundice (bache me piliya ke lakshan )
Bloody potty (bache ki potty me khoon aana )- This occurs when a baby passes a very tight potty. Tight potty damages the skin results in its bleeding.
Dark Brown Potty - When the baby swallows blood from bleeding or cracked nipples, this blood gets transformed into a dark color, which comes out with potty giving dark color to potty(bache ki potty ka colour ).
This could be because of iron supplementation.
