Are low carbohydrate or ketogenic diets bad for your gut health?
The answer is no. However, these diets may not work for everyone. You are your best indicator of what is working or not working for you. If you seem to be suffering from negative symptoms like fatigue, irritability, or insomnia then a low carb diet or a ketogenic diet is most likely not the best diet for you.
If you suffer from digestive distress, you may want to consider a Low FODMAP diet.
