11 Years Ago - The Games of 2014! How Many Did You Play?

Описание: A look at 100 games that were released in 2014 - a whole decade ago!

2014 marked a transition year between console generations as the Xbox1 and the PS4 entered the market. It was "next gen" time! Many titles were released "cross-gen" and if you were slow to upgrade, you certainly weren't being left behind.

Big franchises were still at the forefront, with new entries in series like Dragon Age, Dark Souls, Metal Gear Solid, Assassin's Creed etc. On top of that, the smaller-scale "indie"-style movement was very much picking up momentum with games like Shovel Knight, Broforce and Five Nights at Freddies commanding attention (and sales).

Even the big publishers started releasing smaller-scale indie style games, with powerhouse Ubisoft publishing titles like Child of Light, Valiant Hearts, Trials HD...

A few major franchises were kicked off this year; Watch_Dogs, Wolfenstein (reboot), the afore-mentioned FNAF, Titanfall, etc

And of course, the juggernaut what is Grand Theft Auto V was released on the new next-gen consoles (and PC) which plenty of people are still playing today, 10 years later!

Overall, an interesting year - marked by fewer AAA releases, and waaay smaller-scale successes!
