I’ve been a truck driver for twenty years. In that time I’ve crossed this country back and forth more times than I can count. I’ve seen wrecks, slept in abandoned rest stops, and gotten used to the kind of loneliness only the highway can give you.

Interstate 80 in Wyoming during the winter is the kind of place where mistakes aren’t forgiven. The wind out there can blow empty trailers straight into the ditch, and the snowstorms come on so suddenly you don’t even realize what’s happening until you’re trapped inside a white tunnel.
