Ys I Complete Speedrun -

Описание: EDIT: This run was initially timed by SDA standards, but was later re-timed by traditional RTA standards (selecting "New Game" to reading Book Fact). The RTA time comes out to 39:03, the SDA time would be a 38:07. So yes, this does indeed beat my old segmented run (going by traditional RTA timing, that run was a 39:26, minus the save / load screens), but that's for another time.

Anyway, this is a run of Ys I Complete for the PC. There are a couple minor differences between the Complete version and Chronicles/+. Probably the key differences being that Complete has a better Feena EXP bug reward (x3-4 in Complete, x2 in Chronicles/+), whereas Chronicles/+ is able to completely skip the Roda Tree scene when Complete can only speed it up (it's why I eat the Roda Seed when I do - it's not a mistake). Overall, I suspect this version is ultimately faster for the time being. The above stuff aside, I think it's a combination of Japanese text displaying just a little faster (no cancel button to further speed it up, though), as well as being able to get at the bosses right away (most notably, the early hit on Vagullion in this version). Menu work also goes smoother in this version, at least for me.

Overall I'm a little unhappy with this run, but that's mostly limited to missing Jenocres 3 times near the end (I'm not sure there was much I could do to reach him in time in these particular instances, but still not happy with them). Vagullion of course trolled a little bit, but there's nothing to be done about that (as far as I know). Couple other stupid errors like going too far before equipping the Mask of Eyes to find Raba, but still a decent run overall.

I know a time of 37:50 or so is reasonably possible, but much of that depends on Vagullion playing really nice, unfortunately. Plus, it's hard enough to even make it past the first Mine visit under these conditions, so this will have to do, for now...

Unfortunately, my stream setup sucks, so the footage doesn't look that good compared to this (have to stream this version via a webcam - XSplit simply doesn't like forced fullscreen games, and even if not, I still need to record attempts via Fraps, which really slows the computer down if streaming on the same PC).
