Day 1 – Gangtok Exploration & Permit Day
Apply for the travel permit and explore Gangtok city. Visit popular spots like MG Marg, Hanuman Tok, and Ganesh Tok.
You can also take a short trip to Darjeeling—visit Tiger Hill and enjoy the iconic toy train ride before returning to Gangtok for the night.

Day 2 – Gangtok to Lachung (115 km)
Permits are issued in the morning. Start early—by 10 AM at the latest—to cross the entry checkpost before 1 PM.
This stretch involves serious off-roading, mountain streams, sharp curves, and breathtaking views.
Mangan petrol bunk is the last fuel station, so make sure to fill up completely.
Although maps show a 3-hour journey, due to flood and landslide-affected roads, expect 6–7 hours.
Don’t forget to get your permit signed at both entry and exit checkposts and try to reach the exit checkpost by 4 PM.

Day 3 – Lachung & Yumthang Valley (51 km)
Explore the magical Yumthang Valley, relax at the Yumthang hot springs, and ride up to Zero Point, Indo-China border—surrounded by snow-covered peaks and raw Himalayan beauty.

Day 4 – Lachung to Gangtok (115 km)
Ride back to Gangtok and spend the evening exploring the city at leisure.

Day 5 – East Sikkim High-Altitude Route (90 km)
From Gangtok, head towards Tsomgo Lake (Ropeway), Baba Mandir, and Nathula Pass (closed on Mondays).
Continue to Nathang Valley, enjoy stunning landscapes, stop at Thambi View Point, and spot Kanchenjunga on the way.
Descend via Zuluk and complete the journey at Siliguri.

This route offers one of the most scenic and adventurous drives in the Himalayas—mountains, rivers, dangerous curves, and unforgettable views at every turn.
