Описание: We did it! We survived another original Resident Evil game and *shocker*... I love this even more than the remake. Okay, so maybe that's not the biggest shocker since yall know I have a soft spot for this era of games, but it's more to do with me being enamored at the creativity despite the technical limitations. The essence of the story and atmosphere is represented well in RE2 Remake however, these old pixelated doors will always have my heart! I believe they captured the heart and spirit of RE1 in this sequel. It was amazing being able to play as two new characters embracing a different scenario in this nightmare outbreak. Taking a traditionally "safe" location such as the police station and making it terror filled instantly played with my head as the player. You want to believe you're safe at every turn, but there is always something to keep you on edge the whole game especially when they bring in a 10 foot horror. The layout and pace of the game felt especially nice and don't even get me started on the location of the typewriters and boxes! The whole game was a chef's kiss of a sequel. My favorite thing in these games is the contrast between traditional monsters (zombies) and humans, while we might be in a nightmare surrounded by monsters - humans and greed have the capacity to be even more terrifying. P.S. My neighbors never said anything after the amount of times I screamed every time Mr. X made an appearance; so we're safe... for now 😅
