When I first heard Butterfly back in the day, I knew buried beneath the guitars and hip-hop beats was a melody begging for the synthwave treatment. This 80s Synthwave version strips the track down to its emotional core and rebuilds it with lush vintage synths, driving basslines, and those unmistakable gated reverb drums that defined an era. I wanted to capture what it would sound like if Butterfly had been written during the height of the synthesizer revolution, cruising down Sunset Boulevard with the windows down and the night alive with possibility. This is nostalgia for two decades colliding in the most beautiful way.
