Longtime Albion men’s basketball coach, Jody May, has long been known as a highly effective X & O coach, tactician, recruiter, and friend of high school coaches all across the Rust Belt. Coach May has been the head coach at Albion since 2008 & on the Briton coaching staff since 1997. May led the Britons to the 2019-20 MIAA Regular Season Championship, earning Basketball Coaches of Michigan (BCAM) College Coach of the Year honors.

A native of Elida, Ohio, May came to Albion after two seasons as an assistant men’s basketball coach at Hanover College. During the 1995-96 season, May helped guide the Panthers to the Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference championship and the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
