Photojournalist Amber Bracken and The Narwhal news outlet are suing the RCMP in Vancouver, alleging Bracken was wrongfully arrested while covering Indigenous protests over the construction of the Coastal GasLink pipeline in northwestern B.C. The Narwhal's acting editor-in-chief Carol Linnitt says it's a fight for the rights of all journalists in Canada who must be free to perform their duties without interference from the RCMP.
