How to use Lightroom Collections and Smart Collections - In this tutorial you'll learn about organizing your images using collections and smart collections that you can create in the Library Module.

They're an extremely useful means of organizing your images vs keywords or folders alone because you can create collections using images from any location and different folders, including external drives. They're handy for grouping photos for easy access. The great thing about them is if you make a change to an image, such as a new develop edit or change the star rating, that change is reflected wherever the image appears, even if it's in 5 or 10 different collections.

This video walks you through the collections workflow and explains the difference between a regular collection and a smart collection and how you could use them both.
