STORYLINE
Pakistan's president arrived in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo on Saturday to begin a four-day state visit.
President Asif Ali Zardari was met off the plane by Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa and observed the traditional honour guard ceremony.
According to government officials, Zardari was accompanied by his foreign and defence ministers as well as around 40 other delegates.
Zardari is expected to visit parliament on Sunday, and to hold bilateral talks with his counterpart and other government officials on Monday.
It is thought that the main subjects of the talks will be enhanced economic and defence cooperation between the two south Asian countries.
