Khun Raccoon, from the U.S., is a student in my first group. I met him for the first time when he attended the Thai Speaking Club Meeting (a survey for ideas on how to run it) almost two months ago.

From the very beginning until now, I’ve been impressed by his great progress every time we meet in the Saturday class.

He has strong determination and a smart mind. He tries to use Thai as much as he can in his daily life.

He also has a wonderful learning partner — his lovely wife, Khun Nokhuk (Hanna). Learning a new language with a partner or friend is very beneficial, and it works really well for them.

As I see that his experience of learning Thai can be very helpful for other Thai language learners, I asked him if it’s okay to share his journey — and he kindly agreed.
