The German company Schaller started producing their own versions of fuzz pedals in the mid sixties to emulate the success of the Fuzz Face , the circuit of which this one closely resembles. The pedal was also called ‘Verzerrer’ and features just a fuzz and volume control. This one has 2x OC71 transistors. Recorded here with a Stratocaster and Gil Yaron Les Paul through a 1972 Marshall Super Lead and a 1967 Marshall cabinet.
Settings: the Schaller was set to maximum fuzz and about 75% volume. The amp settings were vol 7, presence 7, bass 3, mid 10, treble 7.
