Wanted to see how many amps this 24lb thrust trolling motor draws when side mounted on my 2021 Hobie compass. It was a very windy day and the tides were stronger than usual so although my kayak wasn't fully loaded with all my fishing gear, the weather conditions made this trolling motor work pretty hard. After doing these tests, and seeing that it really doesn't draw too many amps on high, I think I want to buy a 60ah lithium battery for it and possibly a PWM controller so that I can have more speed variability and run time. (I'm currently using a 35ah lead acid for these tests).
