In this video, we will be showing how we scan a book. How we digitize books is based on the technology we use and the steps we take in the process.

1. Prepare your book

Take the book and clean it. Make sure it does not contain foreign objects, staples or other notes. Once this is done, use the compressor to remove any excess dust.

2. Set it into the scanner

Put the book in the scanning cradle. Arrange it as required and make sure it is sitting firmly in the cradle. Once this is ok, make the necessary adjustments to the scanner settings.

3. Start scanning

Start scanning and make sure that everything is running smoothly. Remove any dust that might be collected by the scanner during the process. Check for any visual artifacts or other small issues. Try to optimize the process for extra productivity.

4. Image processing and correction

This step is very important. In this phase, you make sure you are sending an image of the best quality to the OCR software. Any artifacts, skew or other aspects that reduce quality can be easily corrected.

5. Text OCR

The Optical Character recognition phase is also very important. You are converting pixels to characters, so make sure your accuracy is good. You will be requested to change different things so do it appropriately.

6. Create Ebook and Word files
