The mission of the Stanford Medicine Alumni Association is to Reach, Inspire, Serve and Engage Stanford Medicine alumni. We promote and celebrate excellence, diversity, and collegiality. Our programming and services are designed to encourage alumni, faculty, and student involvement, working together to support and to benefit the School of Medicine, Stanford Hospital, and Stanford University.
The RISE award is dedicated to those individuals who represent our values and have demonstrated exceptional dedication to nurturing Stanford Medicine and the alumni community through acts of leadership, volunteerism, mentoring, or teaching.
This year, the 2024 RISE Award Recipient is Marcia L. Stefanick, PhD '82, Postdoc '84.
