Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO_The missing track in GT7_Pikes Peak

When Codemasters didn't get permission to put the track in Dirt Rally 2 many expected it would return in GT7.

I am done waiting. This morning I downloaded the DLC Pikes Peak gravel pack. The 10 year old Loeb Rally game already had the laser scanned asphalt version of the peak but this is not how I remember the track.

This is the gritty gravel 1988 track.
As I am still learning to drive with a wheel my choice was a slower car in my garage.
The Peugeot 106 Rallye 1.6

After 2 long hours dialing in all settings on my G29 wheel and driving it on the test track it was time to "storm" the peak again after 5+ years.
I believe the last time was in Colin McRae: DiRT on the PS3 and there were people watching when I raced the track hard with a controller who are no longer with me..😑

To find out if this track has a place in my long term memory I decided to drive without track and map lines. And no rewinds!!

Took a deep breath grabbed my wheel and raced and recorded a very emotional moment.
Polyphony can keep their licence THIS is my Pikes Peak on PS4 Pro!❤️‍🔥

Conclusion:
These are the gritty graphics I love and this track has a very warm place in my long term memory.

Racing a 1997 car on a 1988 track in a 2016 game in 2026. 🥲👌🏻
