Donkey Kong Country 2 - Welcome to Crocodile Isle (Symphonic Metal Cover)

Описание: Here I am, back with another DKC2 cover. It is one of my favourite games with a stellar soundtrack. I chose this song in particular for a contest that is taking place over at the /VGcovers subreddit relating to overworld themes (Here's the link:  / march_2017_pixel_mixers_contest_overworld_...  ) and so this is my entry.

For this cover I used organs and strings and an additional tubular bells to play the melody in order to conjure that eerie and dark vibe, then there's the usual metal rendition I incorporate as always with my covers. Another addendum I did to this tune was include a new rhythm section so I could solo over, as I couldn't really come up with a decent solo over the main chord progression. It's also nice to add some creativity to the cover. With the video I added a green glowy filter over some of the footage to replicate the green doomy sky you see in the Crocodile Isle map.
