SPOILER WARNINGS AHEAD!!!

Today, we'll be Fighting the second Newly added Enemy and Unlocking the second Party Member from the Official True Zeal Update: Formosus, The Exhumed!

"How do you Unlock Formosus?"
This one is very straightforward. You must first find the Newest Mini-Boss: Cadaver Synod! This Mini-Boss can ONLY appear on Even Days of the Year! The Cadaver Synod is a Size One Enemy with Immortal, Withering, and the New Passive Anointed (2), which simply applies Two Divine Protection to a Party Member that Opposes this Enemy.

It only has One Ability: Exhume, which simply makes it Spawn as many Enemies as possible.

This thing is NEARLY IDENTICAL to the Sepulchre, but instead of trying to Kill the Mini-Boss, your goal is to kill everything that it Spawns. The ONLY way for this thing to die is by Withering, so it's best to ignore the Cadaver Synod and focus on the other Enemies.

Once successful, Pope Formosus will appear and you'll have a fairly long dialogue with them but will eventually be Unlocked.

"What does Formosus Do?"
Formosus is considered as a Damage Dealer who centers around Inflicting Divine Protection to Enemies and then Damages any Enemy that has Divine Protection and using Abilities that center around whether or not the Enemies have Status Effects by either increasing the Status Effects they have or dealing Indirect Damage to Enemies, then Heals all Party Members that have Status Effects equal to the amount of Damage dealt.

To put simply, Formosus benefits from Status Effects, especially Divine Protection, but one can achieve crazy results with other Status Effects. A prime example was with our random Supporter that we were given: Rags!

Rags paired with Formosus' "Mass" Ability can result in some great AOE Indirect Damage with the amount of Scars Rags can Stack and if any Party Member had a Status Effect can end up being Healed for a large amount, but I wouldn't count this a reliable healing...

The "Confession" Ability can create some huge setups for Explosive Damage when paired with Frail and/or Scars alongside Divine Protection, allowing you to take advantage of vulnerable Enemies and make any other Enemies suffer.

Overall, from first impressions, Formosus has a lot of potential. If the player can gather the right Fools and/or Items, Formosus can become an insane tool to one's team build. If you generally enjoy spamming Status Effects to the Enemy, you'll find Formosus to be enjoyable.

This may or may not be the last Modless Run I'll be recording. I'll probably go over some Buffed/Reworked Party Members, but not sure if I'll do those with Mods or not. Stay tuned!
