Im Norden Islands, auf der Trollhalbinsel, findet sich zwischen den Ortschaften Siglufjördur, Dalvik und Akureiry ein Skitourengebiet der Extraklasse. Die Bergführer der Alpinschule Dreizinnen aus Südtirol sind mittlerweile gute Kenner der Berge rund um den Eyjafjord, die sich mit ihren offenen, baumfreien Skihängen perfekt für Skitouren eignen. Neben atemberaubenden Skitouren am Meer bietet Island viele beeindruckende Naturschauspiele. So besichtigen wir den Godafoss (Götterwasserfall), die blaue Lagune, den Mywattensee und das Hochtemperaturgebiet Hverarönd, das mit seinen brodelnden Schlammtöpfen und Vulkanen einen Einblick ins Erdinnere gewährt. Nach den Skitouren haben wir vielleicht das Glück grünschimmernde Nordlichter (Polarlichter – Aurora borealis) über dem Meer und der Bergwelt des nördlichen Islands zu bestaunen.

Nel nord dell'Islanda, sulla penisola di Troll, c'è un'area di scialpinismo di prima classe tra i villaggi di Siglufjördur, Dalvik e Akureiry. In the north of Iceland, on the Troll Peninsula, there is a top-class ski touring area between the villages of Siglufjördur, Dalvik and Akureiry. The mountain guides of the Dreizinnen Alpine School from South Tyrol are now good connoisseurs of the mountains around the Eyjafjord, which are perfect for ski touring with their open, tree-free ski slopes. In addition to breathtaking ski tours by the sea, Iceland offers many impressive natural spectacles. So we visit the Godafoss (Gods Waterfall), the Blue Lagoon, the Mywattenlake and the high-temperature area Hverarönd, which with its bubbling mud pots and volcanoes gives an insight into the earth's interior. After the ski tours, we may be lucky enough to marvel at the shimmering green Northern Lights (Aurora borealis) over the sea and the mountains of northern Iceland.
