500 schools shut, thousands arrested in French protests

Описание: Up to 500 schools across France were partially or totally closed on Monday as student protests escalated, with clashes between protesters and local police reported in several cities. The education minister said 24 schools have been "burned or ransacked," while more than 5,000 people have been arrested since the movement began.
