The jadeite is an intense apple green, with slight graduations from stone to stone.

Laying out the cabochons without symmetrical pairing, alternating long and short sides, these organic setting preferences are seen in 19th and 20th century lavaliere necklaces, this one no different.

This forms its period aesthetic and the eye recognizes its old world charm.

This is also very similar to Georgian and Victorian necklaces, except we seldom chance on an extensive jadeite necklace in the genre.

We know it is Straits Chinese in part because we collected this here, and because of the dainty nature of both stone and design.

It is to be cherished, translucent apple green jade laid out with careful diamond fanfare. A lone diamond insert enervates the green.

This is likely a prewar era necklace, the clasp a modern addition.

The necklace is adjustable from 15.5" to 17", with a 3.5cm drop.

Diamonds weigh 0.62ctw, the pear cut a 0.4ct.
