While the shortage of free condoms by the government persists, consumers shouldn't put their life at risk by going for unprotected sex and using the condom shortage predicament as an excuse.
According to Stats SA 2021, an estimated overall HIV prevalence rate is approximately 13,7% among the South African population and estimated of 8.2 million are living with HIV.
The shocking and alarming recent stats coming out of the SA Aids Conference reveal that 1 300 young people in KZN are HIV-infected weekly.
The Population International service- Trust condoms is appealing to consumers to continue to use and practice safe sex.
