Lint. If you have fuzzy balls on your clothes, shave them off.

Pet hair. If you have pet dander or hair, use a lint roller. You can get them for a few bucks on Amazon.

Nasty undies. If you're wearing worn-out underwear or boxers, you look low-value because no self-respecting dude wears these.

Tech watch. It'll make you look unstylish.

Baseball hats. If they're dirty, you look scuzzy. You look like you don't care if they have rips and tears.

Wrong fragrances. You don't want to smell like everybody else or like her ex-boyfriend.

Too much cologne. You also don't want to wear too much fragrance.

Redneck goatee. You look low value if it's big and fuzzy, like muff-face.

Bad tattoos. I'm not saying tattoos look bad on everybody, but many are bad these days. Everybody is getting them, and even though you might think it's awesome, think about five years from now. You may also be perceived as low-value if you're covered in them.

Facial piercings. Low-value is the perception of facial piercings, whether or not it's eyebrows, nose, lip, or wherever. If you have a lot of piercings, people will perceive this as low value.

Colored hair. These harsh colors, whether blue, pink, red, or otherwise, can be perceived as low-value. I'm not saying that you are; I'm just saying that people could have that perception.

F^cked up beard. A beard that is nasty and unkept looks low value and makes you look stinky. If you have a neckbeard growing down, it's also perceived as low value. It needs to be edged and not growing up your face.

Ungroomed. Nose hairs and crazy eyebrows are low-value appearing

Messed-up skin.

Bad toupee. If you're losing your hair, covering it makes you look low-value. Embrace it by growing a beard, shaving your hair, and getting cool frames.

Big and baggy suits. Don't wear a suit that puddles at your ankles. You need to go to a tailor and get it tapered.

Little boy polos. Upgrade your Polo to Collars and Co., which has a proper collar, buttery soft fabric, and a deeper placket and can be dressed up or down. You can wear it under a sweater, sports coat or suit.

Clothing that doesn't fit. You need clothing that fits your body type. You don't want bulky pants with a crotch that hangs down. Your shirt should not give you a muffin top. Your collar shouldn't be messed up, and your sleeves shouldn't be too long. Make sure your jacket isn't bulky as well. How your clothing fits matters.

Worn-out belt. Belts can boost your value proposition, but they can also crash it. If they're worn out, have a bunch of holes, or don't match your shoes, they will look low value. Make sure you match your leather belt to your shoes in finish and texture—shiny with shiny, matte with matte.

Earrings. Men wearing earrings is low value. The bigger the earrings or gauges, the lower the value.
Ill-fitting jeans. Whether super tight or baggy, jeans that don't fit properly look low-value. Make sure that your jeans fit properly.

Lots of patterns. If you wear clothing with many patterns, you may look a bit funny and possibly low-value. Wearing zany patterns and fun ties with fun socks is not high-value.

Graphic t-shirts. Don't wear anything offensive or that indicates what you smoke.

Not dressing age-appropriately. This is nuance because it boils down to finding a style that resonates with you regardless of your age, but certain items can make a man look like he's trying too hard. There's nothing wrong with aging, but take care of yourself, workout, take care of your skin, and don't dress super trendy.

Super dark hair. Super dark hair combined with advancing in age looks ridiculous -- like he's desperate, trying too hard, and awkward.
