Ever wonder what it looks like to take stitches out of an incision? I did this one yesterday...he's 13 days out of a UCL repair (not reconstruction because of his age and the injury type) done by Dr Jeff Dugas in Birmingham, AL.

✅The key with this stitch is to clip the middle portion to free it up. If you don't snip in the middle of the incision, then you can pull as hard as you want and the stitch is not coming out.
.
✅Once you've made that initial snip, you can pull the stitch out from each side of the incision. In this video, the forceps were awful and could ot grab the stitch to pull so I used my hands and it came out pretty easily.

✅We cleaned around the wound with rubbing alcohol and applied sterile steri strips for wound support that he'll use for a few days.
