Описание: Breaking Bach is a live performance by Marigó Trio! that transforms the legacy of Johann Sebastian Bach into a living, unpredictable and emotionally charged experience. In this show, pianist and improviser Carles Marigó joins forces with flamenco percussionist David Domínguez and Bassist Manel Fortià to explore a powerful blend of baroque music, flamenco rhythms, improvisation and contemporary textures.

The programme includes:

1. Samfaina – A high-energy improvisation based on three iconic Bach works: the Prelude in G major BWV 884, the Prelude in D minor BWV 851, and the Prelude from the Cello Suite No. 1 in G major BWV 1007.

2. Chorale – A slow and intimate reinterpretation of the famous chorale "Jesus bleibet meine Freude" (BWV 147), where melody, silence and resonance become a space for collective breath.

3. Prelude in C minor – A recognisable opening (BWV 847) leads into a dynamic and expressive improvisation, where the trio deconstructs and expands Bach’s harmonic world through rhythmic vitality and emotional intensity.

Each performance of Breaking Bach is unique. The music is shaped live, in direct connection with the audience and the moment. The trio seeks to celebrate music not as a fixed object, but as a living, breathing act of creation — where Bach can still sound radically new.
