Professor Chalmers discuss new research in treating respiratory tract infections as well as the status of trials of DPP-1 inhibitors and other research to treat Bronchiectasis, along with answering questions about Bronchiectasis.
Professor James Chalmers is Asthma and Lung UK Chair of Respiratory Research at the University of Dundee and a Consultant Respiratory Physician at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, UK. His main clinical interests are in difficult lung infections and particularly bronchiectasis. He runs a research group focused on developing new treatments for bronchiectasis and related conditions. He chairs the European Bronchiectasis Registry and is current Chair of the European Respiratory Society Bronchiectasis Clinical Practice Guideline Panel. He is current Chief Editor of the European Respiratory Journal.
