Crochet Easter Basket

This weeks video is a simple Easter basket made with the basket weave stitch. I love using this stitch and the way it turned out. If you use some starch you cant get the basket to be more firm. Thank you for watching see y’all next week.

Base

Round 1: sc 6 in magic ring. {6}

Round 2: [inc] around. {12}

Round 3: [inc, sc] around. {18}

Round 4: [sc 2, inc] around. {24}

Round 5: [inc, sc 3] around. {30}

Round 6: sc 2, [inc, sc 4] 5 times, inc, sc 2. {36}

Round 7: [inc, sc 5] around. {42}

Round 8: sc 3, [inc, sc 6] 5 times, inc, sc 3. {48}

Round 9: [inc, sc 7] around. {54}

Round 10: sc 4, [inc, sc 8] 5 times, inc, sc 4. {60}

Round 11: [inc, sc 9] around. {66}

Body (Basket Weave Pattern)

Round 16: ch2 [don't count it as a stitch], hdc in the same st, hdc in next 53 sts. slst to the top loops of the first hdc sts. {90}

Round 17 - 19: ch2 [don't count it as a stitch], FPDC in the same st (first hdc st of previous round), FPDC in the next 2 sts, BPDC in the next 3 sts, [FPDC 3, BPDC 3] 14 times, slst to the top loops of the first FPDC st. {90}

Round 20 - 22: ch2 [don't count it as a stitch], BPDC in the same st (first hdc st of previous round), BPDC in the next 2 sts, FPDC in the next 3 sts, [BPDC 3, FPDC 3] 14 times, slst to the top loops of the first BPDC st. {90}

Round 23 - 25: Repeat Round 17 - 19. {90}

Round 26 - 28: Repeat Round 20 - 22. {90}

Round 29 - 31: Repeat Round 17 - 19. {90}

Trim & Handles

Round 32 - 33: ch, sc in next 89 sts, slst to the ch st at the beginning of the round. {90}

Round 34: ch, sc 17, ch 24, skip 10 sts, sc 35, ch 24, skip 10 sts, sc 17, slst to the ch st at the beginning of the round. {118}
