The couple had unsecured lines of credit of $5 million to $25 million from each of the three banks, according to a disclosures filing from late December. In her letter, Maria Vullo, New York State Financial Services superintendent, reportedly asked for emails and other communications on pending or denied financing requests the Kushners made with the banks, as well as internal reviews of the Kushners and their businesses. Kushner Companies spokeswoman Chris Taylor said in an emailed statement to Newsweek that “these type of inquiries appear to be harassment solely for political reasons.”“We have not received a copy of any letter from the New York State Department of Financial Services.
