Last month I had the absolute pleasure of borrowing an R1 from Yamaha, a bike my heart yearns for despite owning an RR. The most common question I get asked is 'would you swap your RR for an R1?' and so I've broken down my experiences and some rough stats to compare the two dream bikes and explain why I've made my choices, and how I feel about them.
Mixed in is some of my old footage from my time owning both bikes, and a side by side view of the two current versions of each so you can see exactly how they measure up (visually...)
