This message is part 1 of a revisit to what the abyss is (a prison realm in the Bible’s cosmic imagery) and what comes out of it, then turns practical: resisting the enemy with sexual purity, treating marriage and the church-as-bride motif with spiritual seriousness, and living as light among people in darkness. It also includes teaching on Christian fasting from Luke 5:33–39—what fasting is, common distortions to avoid, and how Spirit-led fasting reorients our desires toward Jesus as the Bridegroom while we wait for His return.
