Описание: A solemn, remembrance of honor for the brave 13 U.S. troops ... who paid the ultimate sacrifice among the fatalities during a suicide terrorist bombing, while providing security at the airport in Kabul, Afghanistan on August 26, 2021.

These are the last U.S. troops to be Killed In Action during the 20 year official deployment of U.S. forces in Afghanistan in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Johanny Rosario Pichardo (25) of Lawrence, Massachusetts
U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Daegan W. Page (23) of Omaha, Nebraska
U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Humberto A. Sanchez (22) of Logansport, Indiana
U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Nicole L. Gee (23) of Sacramento, California
U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Darin T. Hoover (31) of Salt Lake, Utah
U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kareem M. Nikoui (20) of Norco, California
U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Hunter Lopez (22) of Indio, California
U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Rylee J. McCollum (22) of Jackson, Wyoming

The bombing also severely wounded 18 other U.S. troops with many of them surviving near death conditions.
