Futurama and Behavioral Economics-Projection Bias

Here we see the trio of Leela, Bender, and Fry being held captive inside the Slurm factory. Fry is the only one for the group who is not tied up, thus the only one who can save his friends. But Fry falls victim to Projection Bias when he is introduced to a "special" highly concentrated serving of Slurm, and becomes addicted to the substance. His rational preference to save his friends becomes clouded by his new found addiction.
