The Infamous Trail #3 @ Turkey Run State Park

Описание: A few hours venturing into this park and this became one of our favorite state parks. It was beautiful and full of awe inspiring formations, lush forrest growth, and cool ladders to climb in and out of the gorges. We have been wanting to visit for months now, and now we wish we came by sooner. We have plans of coming back and checking out what else the park has to offer, because we only scratched the surface.

We heard alot of hype about trail number 3 and that's what most of our adventure consisted of. We did get a little off course towards the beginning of our hike and had to circle back, so I would wish that the trails were a little better marked. However, @AllTrails saved the day and helped us get back on the right course. We were really captivated by the beauty that was on trail 3 alone. The videos and pictures I took do not do it justice. Its like a series of slot canyons with glowing growth of moss and ferns throughout. I felt like I was walking back into prehistoric times. It wasn't quite like any other hike I have ever encountered.

I truly recommend checking it out for yourself. It is very rugged and slippery in spots, so while it was a easy hike for us, some people may struggle. So with that being said, I also recommend wearing a comfortable pair of hiking boots/shoes, and some cloths that is moisture wicking that will dry quickly. You will encounter alot of water features, wade through ankle deep water in places, so you may get wet. Also, bring plenty of water.
