Yesterday, Parliament's National Assembly elected Chairpersons of the different Committees, including the Portfolio Committees, Public Accounts Committees, Internal Committees and the Select Committees. Party representatives who will serve on the Judicial Service Commission were also appointed and they include impeached judge, Dr John Hlophe from the MK Party, Julius Malema from the EFF and Adv Glynnis Breytenbach from the DA. To talk more about this and functions and roles of Parliament's Committees, we are joined virtually by Prof Siphamandla Zondi, Professor of Politics and International Relations at the University of Johannesburg.
