A public meeting was held on Saturday to discuss the plan to build 25 tiny shelters to house homeless people in a strip of park and pavement along Strachan St. in Hamilton.
The meeting was intended to inform residents about the project, which has already been approved by city council, and to answer any questions. It took place at the Bennetto Elementary School at 1 p.m. but people started to line up an hour before.
It was a clear indication that north-end residents want to be heard when it comes to building tiny homes for the homeless.
