Notes:
Re-arranged for Swarthmore Taiko Ensemble, "Bounding" is the climactic finale of "Spall Fragments" (2015-2016) an evening-length taiko-dance-theatre production by Joe Small. Directly inspired by approaches to odaiko (big drum) and two-drum set playing by pioneering taiko artist Eitetsu Hayashi, Bounding calls forth our potential to unite in ferocious defiance against fear and adversity.
