Cover of the theme from James Clavell's 1967 film of the same name (also known as "Al Maestro Con Cariño" in Spanish-speaking countries), performed by British singer and actress Lulu, who also starred in the film. The song, written by Don Black and Mark London, peaked at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for five weeks and became the best-selling single of 1967 in the United States.
"To Sir, with Love" is a 1967 British drama film that deals with social and racial issues in an inner city school, starring Sidney Poitier, Christian Roberts, Judy Geeson, Suzy Kendall, Patricia Routledge and singer Lulu (born Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie) making her film debut. Lulu is still active to this day.
