Over 200 children and Youth Union cadres from 10 communes of Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province attended a Mine Risk Education (MRE) camping event held in June 2019 by Project RENEW and Vinh Linh District Youth Union in the historical relic of Vinh Moc tunnels.
On an exciting summer day, the children improved their knowledge of unexploded ordnance risks and reinforced their life skills through quick camping, fashion shows, dramas, traditional folk games, and football. The summer camp was also a chance for commune Youth Unions to share and learn from each other's operational experience.
This MRE integrated summer camping event is part of the Irish Aid-funded Mine Risk Education program of Project RENEW, designed to promote the active participation of children, especially girls and ethnic minority children.
