Assam Elections 2026: Amit Shah Launches ₹1,715 Crore Development Projects | BJP Campaign Boost

Описание: With Assam Assembly Elections 2026 approaching in March–April, BJP is intensifying its campaign. Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Assam to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several major development projects worth ₹1,715 crore in Dibrugarh.

He also laid the foundation for Assam’s Second Legislative Assembly building, in the presence of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. During a public rally, Amit Shah criticized Congress and Rahul Gandhi, claiming that instead of development, Assam has been subjected to violence in the past.

Shah emphasized that following India’s free trade agreement with the European Union, Assam’s tea exports will increase. He also assured steps for protection against floods and illegal immigration.
