Known as the “Little Tibet” of Italy, this vast grassland lies at over 2,000 meters above sea level and offers stunning views, winding roads, and historical secrets.
In this video, we travel by car along scenic mountain roads to the former prison of Benito Mussolini, located in a remote hotel at the edge of the plateau. It was here, in August 1943, that Mussolini was held after his fall from power — until a daring German commando raid freed him in September.
